A bearded Man in a Cloak and Turban Facing Right

Description
This drawing by Stefano della Bella reveals the artist's intimate interest in the turbaned figure. The small drawing was probably not intended for widespread publich consumption, thus we may assume that della Bella's fascination with the Orient was entirely his own. His private meditation on the turbaned figure speaks to the early modern artistic enthusiasm towards the East.
